Christine Moussion 18th International Symposium on Dendritic Cells 2026

Christine Moussion

Dr. Moussion received her PhD from the University of Toulouse, France, where she studied dendritic cell regulation of lymphocyte trafficking through the blood vessels of lymph nodes. She subsequently joined IST Austria in Vienna as a postdoctoral fellow, investigating dendritic cell migration through the lymphatic system. Since joining Genentech in 2017, she has served as a group leader, first in Cancer Immunology, where she led therapeutic strategies targeting dendritic cells in the tumor microenvironment, and later in Immunology Discovery, which she joined in 2024. Her team bridges basic science and drug discovery to uncover cellular and molecular mechanisms governing leukocyte recruitment in tissues, from mouse models to human disease. Using high-throughput in vivo imaging technologies (Ortiz-Muñoz et al., Nature, 2023), alongside genetic, pharmacological, and computational approaches, her group develops therapeutic strategies to improve immunotherapy for solid tumors, autoimmunity, and chronic inflammatory diseases. More recently, Dr. Moussion has led Genentech’s Immunology AI strategy, collaborating closely with computational AI scientists.
