Hiu-Yan Lau
Yan Lau is a PhD candidate in Cancer Biology at King's College London, where her research focuses on dendritic cell biology and antigen presentation in high metastatic risk breast cancer. Her work aims to understand how systemic immune alterations influence anti tumour immunity and disease progression.
Prior to her PhD, Yan completed an MSc in Cancer at University College London and worked as a Research Assistant at the UCL Cancer Institute. Her research spanned tumour immunology, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer, as well as the development of novel antibody-based imaging agents and CAR T-cell therapies targeting ROR1. She has extensive experience in immunophenotyping, flow and mass cytometry, in vivo cancer models, and translational cancer research.
