Nicholas M Adams 18th International Symposium on Dendritic Cells 2026

Nicholas M Adams

Nicholas (Nick) Adams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He studied Biomedical Engineering at Yale University before completing his PhD with Joseph Sun at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where he investigated the molecular regulation of antiviral NK cell responses. For his postdoctoral training, Nick worked with Boris Reizis at NYU School of Medicine, focusing on the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of dendritic cell development and function. His postdoctoral work revealed roles for chromatin organization in conventional dendritic cell development and function and in the type I interferon response of plasmacytoid dendritic cells. He also uncovered ETV3 as a key regulator of dendritic cell tolerance. He established his laboratory at the University of Rochester in February 2026, where his group combines genomic approaches with in vivo genetic models to define how dendritic cell programs shape immune responses and how their dysregulation contributes to autoimmunity.
